Judging Criteria

1. Integration with Mode

All projects must integrate with Mode to qualify. This is the primary requirement for submissions. Judges will assess how effectively the project uses Mode's Layer-2 infrastructure. Projects that align and follow Mode's mission and vision will have higher chances! Fun things for the community to engage with, defi agents that help users with their finances and every idea that just makes users lives easier is what we're looking for.

2. Functionality and Execution

Projects should be fully functional and deployed. Submissions must include a working demo or live agent that can be tested. Judges will evaluate how well the AI agent performs its intended tasks. Bonus points for user-friendly interfaces, clear documentation, and seamless execution. A user should be able to interact with the agent in any shape or form, be it via a frontend, telegram chat, discord chat, twitter, etc. All forms of interactions are allowed.

3. Use of Approved Frameworks

Submissions must use at least one of the approved frameworks:

  • GOAT: Open-Source framework that brings onchain tools to Agents. Any framework supported by GOAT is accepted.
  • Eliza: Multi-agent simulation framework designed to create, deploy, and manage autonomous AI agents.
  • OLAS: AI agents enhanced with marketplace tools and plugins for acquiring new skills.
Projects that combine multiple frameworks in a smart way that makes sense will be higher scored.

4. Creativity and Innovation

Judges will look for projects that demonstrate unique ideas, creative use cases, and innovative problem-solving. Does the agent solve a real-world problem or introduce a novel use case? Projects that push the boundaries of AI agent capabilities will be highly rewarded.

5. DeFi and Plugin Integration

Additional rewards are available for projects that include GOAT plugins enabling AI agents to interact with DeFi tools on Mode. These plugins can focus on yield optimization, automated trading, or other blockchain-specific use cases. Projects supporting open-source development will also gain preference.

6. Presentation and Documentation

Clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation is key. Submissions should include:

  • A detailed project description
  • Instructions on how to test the agent
  • Any relevant code repositories or links
Well-documented projects with a strong presentation will score higher. Remember that judges are humans and will have to evaluate your project. We are looking for functional MVPs that are easy to use for users!
