AI Agents On Mode: A Hackathon Sprint Series

What's This All About?

We're having a special event called an AI Agent Hackathon. It's a time for people to come together and create cool AI agents on Mode. Whether you know a lot about AI or are just starting, you're welcome to join!

What Are AI Agents?

AI agents are like smart computer programs that can do tasks for you. Mode is a place where you can find and use these agents.

How to Build AI Agents

You can use three main tools to build AI agents:

  1. GOAT: This helps agents work with blockchain technology.
  2. Eliza: This lets you create AI agents with personalities that can connect to apps like Telegram and Discord.
  3. Olas: Olas let’s you create AI Agents and also provides tools and a marketplace for agents to get new skills and information.

Important Details

  • ALL SUBMISSIONS SHOULD INTEGRATE MODE to qualify!
  • The first sprint of the hackathon starts now, and you have until December 23rd to submit your project.
  • You can use old projects or new ideas, but make sure people can try out what you create.
  • We want to see lots of new agents and make sure everyone has fun!

Extra Opportunity - Plugin Bounties

We're also offering rewards for making plugins that help agents use DeFi (a type of financial technology) on Mode. This can help you earn prizes and support open-source development.

Themes

DeFi

Build AI agents seamlessly operating on Mode to revolutionize decentralized finance. Examples include agents that can transact, swap tokens, provide liquidity, rebalance and manage positions, participate in governance, and facilitate lending and borrowing.

BTCFi

Develop AI agents that enhance Bitcoin-based financial services on Mode. Utilise ecosystem projects by enabling agents to do swaps and create lending/borrowing positions with Bitcoin.

Social

Create AI agents that act as influencer-like companions on Mode, enhancing the social experience. Examples include agents that can serve as alpha callers, provide real-time insights by scanning blockchain data, answer community questions with up-to-date information, and engage as helpful, interactive community companions across platforms like X or Telegram.

Gaming

Design AI agents that transform the gaming experience on Mode. Examples include agents for choose-your-own-adventure games that adapt to player choices, AI-driven podcasts on X where agents discuss news and end with interactive games or even rap battles between agents that entertain and engage players. Let AI agents become the creative engine for dynamic, immersive blockchain-based games.

Wildcard

Unleash your creativity with AI agents exploring new Mode frontiers. This category is for any innovative idea that doesn’t fit the other themes. Whether it’s a unique AI-powered tool, a novel DeFi solution, or a groundbreaking application that leverages onchain agents, if it’s built on Mode and pushes the boundaries, it belongs here.

  • Projects must use one of the approved frameworks (Eliza, GOAT, Olas, MODE).
  • Preference will be given to projects that integrate with Mode Network.
